Causes for Change International was founded in 1996 by Chicago business woman Zully Alvarado while participating in the Landmark Education Self Expression and Leadership Program. She created the organization as a way of contributing to disabled children and families in some of the poorest regions of Ecuador. She herself is a native of Ecuador and a survivor of childhood polio. See the video below.
